Continental, c. 1800-1825
(Probably Dutch because I bought it in The Netherlands. But since during the first half of the 19th century a lot of French aprons were sold in the low countries this can’t be certain.)
Material and dimensions
Silk. Gold and silver metal thread, embroidery. 32 cm square.
Description
Traditional presentation of masonic symbols. Central motif are the two columns J and B on a green field with some trees. They flank a triangle with the Hebrew name of the Jehova. Some stars, the radiant sun, moon, and other masonic symbols and tools complete the apron. On the flap is the letter G.
