Description
A Liverpool creamware jug of ovoid form with loop handle. Two Masonic transfers printed in black. (1) Bible, square and compasses with the all-seeing eye and Masonic emblems, flanked by two pillers surmounted by the female figures of Faith and Charity, with Hope seated upon clouds. (2) The verse “The world is in pain. Our Secrets to gain...” within a wreath, the all-seeing eye above and “G” in a five-pointed star below, surmounted by a cherub with a level and flanked by clouds and festoons. A smaller star shaped vignette decorates the body below the spout with the Hebrew letter “tau”.
