Engraving on cotton, 37 cm x 35 cm.


Description

Printed on the flap is an all-seeing eye with glory rays. The central motif is a colonnaded room with a checkered floor three candles and at the end the bible, square and compass opened on the chapter of St. John.  Lettering at top reads Hail! heavenly virtue, thine's a Sacred Flame! Underneath the colonnaded room one reads Silence and Circumspection. A female is at center top holding the letter G. A pair of columns with a globe on top flanks the central motif. In between the column and around the  center motif are more masonic symbols. The apron is signed “C.Wright scpt for W.B. Whitney, Homer.
