paste past master masonic jewel

Origin/date

UK, c. 1780 or c. 1878

(Harris dates this jewel to the end of the 18th century. While the auction catalogue of the Baylot collection dates it to the second half of the 19th century, which would be more in line with the inscription: 1878.)

UK, private dealer.
